Reading feeds, answers, details, term definitions and comments is open to everyone. Posting comments and replies requires a registered account. Temporary visitor sessions keep likes and saves separate. Your own guest records and existing comment ownership transfer when you register or sign in. Clearing browser data or switching devices can make prior temporary records unavailable.

Authentication information, reactions and comments are stored on our service server. Email registration uses your email address. Social accounts use provider-specific identifiers and do not require an email. Provider names, emails and photos are not automatically published; comments show only the public nickname you confirm. Comment drafts stay in this browser for up to 24 hours, expire on the next use, and are cleared after successful posting. They are bound to your account or verified guest transfer and are not restored for another account. Optional sign-in analytics record start/success/failure/registration and comment success without passwords, codes, emails or drafts. Sign-in cookies are separate from an optional random-browser analytics cookie, which is used only after you opt in. We do not use external advertising or analytics trackers.

Personalization is optional. Only accounts that opt in have reading/share activity recorded and used with likes/saves for recommendations. Opting out deletes that activity.

Optional service analytics and surveys

Service analytics is separate from recommendation personalization. Before opt-in, no analytics identifier or individual activity is collected. Opt-in records a random browser identifier, visits split by 30 minutes of inactivity, allowed attribution tags, language/device type, actual exposure/actions/active time and optional survey answers. Clearing data or changing devices can create a new visitor.

Raw events, visits, surveys and free opinions are cleared after 90 days by default (configurable 7–365 days), hourly while active and at startup. Withdrawal stops queued and future collection and clears the browser cookie. Prior records remain until their retention limit without continuing the identifier. Free opinions are stored separately and visible only to administrators.

Surveys are optional. Skipping, closing or not answering is never a negative response. Actual survey exposures are capped at two per visit and two per rolling 24 hours. Analytics events do not store passwords, authentication cookies/tokens, comment text or full URLs.

Community care

Be kind. Do not post personal information, harassment or spam. Report a discovery or comment to request a moderator review. Moderators can hide harmful content and restrict abusive accounts.
